Bungie intends to bring as much content back to Destiny 2 as possible without charging all users, regardless of past purchases. According to insider Paul Tassi, the studio will be limited to small patches until the process is complete, and has no plans to turn the project into a full-fledged service.
Meanwhile, there are currently no plans to return, despite important plot events in seasonal and holiday events. Such a decision may upset fans, but community pressure has forced the developers to reconsider their plans. Previously, the author had announced that he was abandoning the project’s total oblivion in favor of restoring history.
