Streaming service Paramount+ has released a new trailer for adventure series Treasure Island, a new take on Robert Louis Stevenson’s famous novel.
The six-episode adaptation follows young Jim Hawkins (Tom Sweet) and his determined mother Beth (Hayley Atwell) as they acquire Captain Flint’s legendary treasure map.
Aboard the Hispaniola and embarking on a perilous voyage across the Atlantic, the characters find themselves embroiled in a brutal struggle for wealth, with David Oyelowo’s charismatic and complex Long John Silver emerging as a key figure. The project was created by screenwriter Robert Murphy, with the director of TV series “Slow Horse” and “His Dark Materials” attached to direct.
The series will premiere exclusively on Paramount+ in the UK and Ireland on October 12, 2026, with new episodes released weekly until November 16.
