If you’re one of the people who unfortunately suffered multiple severe crashes after the Cygnus update for Stellaris was released, that’s okay. The developers have taken care of and fixed most of the issues for you, so you can get back into the game safely.
Fixed numerous causes of crashes when launching the game, generating a system, first contact, joining wars and alliances, federation voting, and working with vassals. Also fixed a common desync issue at the start of multiplayer games using custom AI empires. The developers have decided to include additional fixes planned for version 4.5.2.
Additionally, one of the changes involves the Synaptic Plate – structures now built by nomads in another empire’s system will not automatically come under the control of the starbase owner. Fleet automation should also ultimately perform actions chosen by the player, rather than making the decision itself. In addition, the developers have also temporarily disabled the function of ships automatically withdrawing from combat after 15 days of not participating in combat.
