The new chapter in the series of puzzle adventures finally has a release date on PS5, Switch, Switch 2 and Steam, set for December 10th, and recently returned with a new trailer, just in time for TGS 2026.
Another lengthy gameplay video, also from the Japanese show, shows off the entire demo that was available at the time, allowing you to see much of the new chapter.
New puzzles and strange things
As we saw in our previous review of Professor Layton and the New World on Steam, this new chapter in the series takes us to a very special scene.

As far as we know, Professor Layton and the New World is on Steam Completely 3D producedfeaturing a new three-dimensional movement system that guides us to move from scene to scene, interact with various characters and apparently solve puzzles.
The film in particular showcases a more dynamic system of exploring and interacting with scenes that are not presented on a fixed screen, but instead allow you to turn your gaze and scroll through various details at certain points of interest until the series’ signature puzzles are triggered.
