Minecraft Dungeons II will be released on September 29th, and the game will immediately become part of the Game Pass subscription. The new offering from Xbox and Mojang builds on the ideas of the first installment released in 2020, and critics agree that it’s done extremely well.
Reporters rated “Minecraft Dungeons II” today. The game currently has a score of 85 (out of 100) on Opencritic. For comparison, Part One has a score of 74 out of 100.

Critics wrote in their reviews that Minecraft Dungeons II is not a revolutionary project and offers the least innovation compared to the first part. However, the game systems have gotten better, the world has gotten bigger, and cooperative play is still fun.
cooperate. Almost all journalists agree that the game works particularly well in co-op mode (up to 4 players) online or on one console.
Open world. The transition from different locations to a single world has been cited as one of the sequel’s major improvements. Exploration becomes more free, including the ability to jump.
A deeper equipment system. There are more items, upgrades, enchantments, and options to create your own build.
Dynamic and exciting combat. Critics noted that the combat system retains the key points of the first installment, but becomes faster and more spectacular.
A good balance of depth and simplicity. Players who want to try their hand at building have plenty of options without the game becoming an overly complex action RPG.
There are few major changes. Some critics felt that the sequel developed the formula of the first part too carefully and in many ways felt like an expanded version of the original.
Repeatability. As the story progresses, some locations and gameplay moments “look like repeats of each other.”
The endgame is weak. After completing the story, there’s very little left to do in the game.
Visual readability issues. Some journalists felt that the large number of special effects on the screen sometimes made it difficult to understand what was happening in combat.
Technical issues. Technical issues have been reported, including late-game stuttering on Xbox Series X.
Let us remind you that Minecraft Dungeons II brings a new dimension to the series for the first time in years. The game itself will become part of Game Pass immediately upon release tomorrow, September 29th.
