Sad news came from the studio’s official Weibo shared (See the full text of the appeal in the image below) Franco Alliot, founder of Nerial, and his wife, Tamara Alliot.
According to Allio, the decision to cease operations was taken together with the management of Devolver Digital, which has owned Nerial since 2021. Team members will have to find new jobs.
Unlike Nerial itself, navigating the choppy waters of the video game industry doesn’t end there for Allios. The couple will take a short break before returning to their indie roots.

Nerial was founded in 2013 and has released 11 games over the past 13 years. The studio’s first project was the non-linear casual strategy Reigns (2016), which became the start of the entire series.
“It has been an incredible adventure. We had no expectations or expectations, and we will never forget the feeling of complete surprise that the launch of Throne in 2016 brought to so many players.”shared by Ario.
Nerial’s final title will forever remain Throne: The Witcher, a crossover between Throne and CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher series. The offshoot of the game received a relatively warm reception (77% viewership), but seven months later the game steam 166 comments in total.
