Taking The Lord of the Rings seriously, Aspyr has prepared a port of Monolith and WB Games’ Middle-earth duology for the Nintendo Switch 2. Both games are already available on the hybrid console.
Shadow of Mordor was released in 2014, and Shadow of War followed three years later: Talion, the slain and resurrected ranger, wanders Mordor, slaying orcs, meeting characters like Gollum and Shelob, and trying to defeat Sauron himself, accompanied by the spirit of Clebrimbaud, the elven blacksmith who once forged the Ring of Power. All of this is achieved through the proprietary Nemesis system.
Shadow of Mordor is released on Nintendo Switch 2 as a Game of the Year Edition, releasing all content, including the Lord of the Hunt and Lords of Light expansion packs, while Shadow of War is released in the same complete final version, including the Desolation of Mordor and The Blade of Galadriel expansion packs.
