As early as July this year, developers at The Coalition stated that they planned to provide large-scale post-release support for Gears of War: E-Day. According to them, the game will have at least 5 seasons, but there will be no battle pass and aggressive monetization. The studio plans to provide players with additional content for multiplayer as part of seasonal support, and ahead of the Early Access launch, the developers shared more detailed plans.
Season 1—Rise

The season, called “Emergence,” begins when the game launches into Early Access on October 1. It will last for 8 weeks, that is, until December 1st. The season will include all starting maps, modes and cosmetics, as well as 3 themed events:
- halloween
- Gear 20 years
- Thanksgiving Day
Each mission will last two weeks and add a separate Versus mode, Clan Siege missions, and exclusive rewards.
The Versus Rank competition mode will launch on October 13, one week after the full release. Weekly challenges will be updated on Tuesdays, and then the in-game store offers will change.
Season 2 — Legacy

The second season is called “Legacy” and commemorates the 20th anniversary of the “Gears of War” series. The developers describe it as “a declaration of love for the franchise.” Currently, it is known that this season will offer new content inspired by the most memorable moments of the previous games.
Legacy will also introduce rewards for the “Dead Serious” achievement, which will bring back the tradition of challenging the “Serious” achievement. Players who earn it will unlock medals, titles, flags, emblems, icons and, for the first time in series history, legendary character skins.
Seasons 3-5
Currently, “Gears of War: E-Day” is promised “at least 5 seasons.” They all already have names:
- Season 3: Infiltration
- Season 4: The Pendulum
- Season 5: Dedication
The developer has not yet specified an exact date for its launch.
Gears of War: E-Day is now available for pre-load on Game Pass and will be released on October 6th.
