Valve has released the results of its September 2026 Steam Hardware Survey. Two types of changes occur in leaders. The GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card became the most common model, with 32 GB RAM configurations overtaking the 16 GB RAM option.

GeForce RTX 5070 currently accounts for 5.86% of systems participating in the survey. This indicator increased by 2.30 percentage points (pp) from 3.56% in August. This puts it above all other graphics card models on the list. The RTX 5060 Ti also showed significant growth, reaching 3.87% (+1.46 percentage points), while the RTX 5060’s share increased by 1.22 percentage points. and reached 4.20%. There are no graphics cards from AMD or Intel in the top ten.
If you add up the performance of the RTX 5050, 5060, 5060 Ti, 5070, 5070 Ti, 5080 and 5090 models, their total share is 18.21%, up from about 12.93% in August.
The situation of RAM capacity ranking has also changed. This month, the market share of 32 GB RAM computers on the platform jumped from 37.45% to 42.22% (an increase of 4.77 percentage points). At the same time, the share of 16GB memory systems dropped from 41.20% to 37.82%, with the 32GB configuration firmly ranking first in September.
Statistics for screen resolution used have also changed dramatically. The share of systems with a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels rose from 21.86% to 27.04% (+5.18 percentage points), while the share of PCs with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels fell from 50.52% to 47.91%. So while Full HD remains the most popular mainstream resolution, less than half of the systems surveyed currently use it.
AMD has solidified its position in Windows processor statistics on Steam. The share of such PCs increased from 45.52 to 47.41%, while the share of Intel systems fell from 54.47 to 52.59%. According to a September poll, the gap between the two is now just 5.18 percentage points.
