Microsoft offered MacBook Pro owners up to an additional $1,000 bonus when they trade in their laptop and purchase a new Surface Laptop Ultra. This money is paid in addition to the redemption price of the old device. In this way, the company expects to attract Apple laptop users to its new flagship on the Nvidia RTX Spark platform.

Promotion Valid at the Microsoft Online Store in the United States and Canada on eligible purchases from October 7, 2026 through November 23, 2026. The bonus amount depends on the Surface Laptop Ultra configuration purchased and the grade of the laptop you trade in. Microsoft follows up the offer with a direct message: “Get rid of your MacBook.”
The payment does not reduce the amount the buyer must pay at checkout. First, you need to purchase a Surface Laptop Ultra, apply for a trade-in with proof of purchase, and send the old laptop to the Teladvance program operator. The money will be paid after receiving and checking the device. The returned MacBook must be fully functional, without damage to the screen or other components, with a working battery and original charger.
The total payment, taking into account the bonus, can be several thousand dollars, but a significant part of it is the payment for the buyer’s own laptop. For example, the Windows Central journalist received a preliminary estimate of $2,115 in the calculator for the 16-inch MacBook Pro 2025 with 128 GB of RAM and a 4 TB SSD. This is not the official maximum of the program: the final amount depends on the model and condition of the device, and the additional bonus is calculated according to the terms of the promotion.
Surface Laptop Ultra is available for pre-order now, starting at $2,599.99, with shipments beginning October 16th. The laptop is built on the Nvidia RTX Spark platform and is equipped in the maximum configuration with a 20-core processor, graphics with 6144 CUDA cores and 128 GB of combined memory used by the CPU and GPU. The device also received a Mini-LED backlit display.
