An innovation in the Twitch streaming service has outraged the community – a preset enablement feature that allows the platform to use user channel material to train an Amazon AI model.

The fact that Twitch users (which are owned by Amazon) have the opportunity to opt out of the feature comes from Weibo support and Related articles on the platform’s official website.
The announcement drew heavy criticism. Many do not want generative AI models to be trained on its content and believe the service should offer the opportunity to consent to profile collection rather than forcing everyone to sign up.
