Despite the game’s serious technical issues, The Lord of the Rings: War in the North’s Legacy Edition’s return to Tolkien’s universe is a real holiday for fans.
Players have complained about increased system requirements in the absence of noticeable graphical improvements, critical errors on saves, frame rate drops, and broken partner AI, which is why single playthroughs have become routine.
The main problem, however, is with the online mode: players frequently suffer from disconnections, lag, and PlayStation 5 owners are completely deprived of the opportunity to start joint play.
But, as the reviews on Steam show, no one cares about these “little things”: the game has an approval rating of 90%.
