Publisher THQ Nordic and studio Ashborne Games have announced a name change for their upcoming medieval strategy game: The game is now The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410. Meanwhile, the developers confirmed the exact release date of the game on Steam Early Access – September 17, 2026.
The purpose of the name change is to make it clear to fans that the game is inspired by the first installment in the series, Europa 1400: The Guilds, rather than newer life simulators like The Guilds 2 or The Guilds 3.
The author emphasizes economic planning, the development of family dynasties, trade, and top-down political intrigue rather than direct control of individual characters. At the same time, the creator merged the demo with the game’s home page on Steam and updated the key art.
