ASUS has announced the opening of pre-orders for the special edition ROG Xbox Ally X20 portable gaming console, which was released on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of its ROG gaming brand. In the United States, the console sells for $1,299.99. The device is expected to be delivered from October 15th.

At the last Computex 2026 exhibition, the ROG Xbox Ally X20 game console was unveiled as part of a gaming kit. In addition to the game console, it also included ROG Xreal R1 Edition 20 gaming AR glasses. Asus confirmed that both devices do not need to be purchased in the kit. The console will be sold separately.
ROG Xbox Ally X20 is powered by the same AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor as the standard ROG Xbox Ally X. The console comes with the same capacity of LPDDR5X-8000 RAM, which is 24 GB, along with a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe hard drive and an 80 Wh battery.
ROG Xbox Ally X20 is equipped with a 7.4-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a brightness of up to 1400 cd/m2 In HDR mode and supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro image synchronization technology. The standard version of the Xbox Ally X console is equipped with a smaller 7-inch LCD screen with the same resolution and 120 Hz frequency.
In this special version of the device, Asus has also improved some controls. The ROG Xbox Ally X20 uses a TMR joystick and D-pad that let you switch between four-way and eight-way modes. The Anniversary Edition features a translucent black case, with internal gold components clearly visible, and is engraved with the company’s 20th anniversary emblem.

The regular version of ROG Xbox Ally X costs US$999.99 with the same configuration, so the special edition console is priced at US$300 more.
A bundle consisting of the ROG Xbox Ally X20 gaming console and ROG Xreal R1 Edition 20 AR gaming glasses (each priced at $849) costs $2,500. The glasses are equipped with a micro-OLED screen with a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. The kit also includes a Dbrand Killswitch case for the console with a hard screen protector, joystick cover and built-in kickstand, as well as a branded Pelican case to carry everything.
