MBC Game Studio showcased 1001 Threads of Mizan, a third-person cooperative action game based on the Arabian Nights folklore, at Gamescom Opening Night Live. The game can be played alone or with up to three people. In the story, Shahrazad sends his heroes to find the lost knowledge of Mizan – a technology from a lost civilization that can help stop the vengeful King of the Elves.
The team will feature three characters with completely different play styles. Sufya fights in melee, turning her sword into a purple whip, Malik relies on slow but powerful attacks, and archer Yusra prefers to keep his distance. Players will be able to connect freely and leave an already started session.
One of the unusual features is the flying carpet. On them, the heroes will travel through desolate lands, and in the battle against giant elves, the carpet will become part of the battle system. Players must maneuver around giant opponents, dodge attacks, dive and attack their weak points.
The trailer shown was built entirely on the game engine, but the developer stressed that the project is still in the early stages of production. 1001 Threads of Mizan will be released on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2. The Switch 2 version is scheduled for release in 2027, with other dates yet to be announced.
