How Resonance: A Plague Tale: Legacy runs on Xbox Series X | S
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy playtest on Xbox Series
- Xbox Series X. In quality mode, the game runs at native 1440p resolution, then upscaled to 4K using TAA. Performance mode drops the resolution to 1080p and upscales it to 1440p at 60 FPS. If your TV or monitor is 120 Hz, other possibilities arise. Quality mode jumps to 40 FPS at 1260p resolution, while Performance mode removes the frame rate cap, allowing the game to run up to 120 FPS.
- Xbox Series S. The game has only one graphics mode – 30 FPS, and can run at 40 FPS on a suitable monitor. Projects in single mode have native 1080p resolution without additional scaling. Some graphics settings have been reduced for stable operation – screen reflections, shadows, individual textures, effects, and the scope for drawing vegetation and geometry have been reduced.
Digital Foundry notes that Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is generally well optimized for Xbox Series X|S, but the differences between consoles are significant.
