The protected smartphone Xsnap 7 Pro of the Ulefone RugOne brand, which was presented at the Svyaz-2026 exhibition in Moscow this spring, will soon be available for sale worldwide. The main feature of this smartphone, in addition to enhanced water and dust resistance, is a detachable camera that can be used as an action camera on its own.
The detachable camera module has an ultra-wide-angle lens with a 133° viewing angle and supports 2.7K video recording at up to 30 frames per second. Video is processed with distortion correction algorithms to make objects look natural, and software stabilization helps smooth the image even when the camera is rotated 360°.
The detachable module allows for up to 40 minutes of video recording, and by repeatedly connecting and charging with the phone’s built-in 9300mAh battery, the battery life can be increased to 800 minutes. This module has 64 GB of built-in memory for recording recordings. When the module is connected to a smartphone, video recordings can be transferred to the Xsnap 7 Pro’s 512 GB memory. The detachable camera is slightly more waterproof than the smartphone, as it can be used at a depth of up to 5 m, as opposed to the 2 m of the unit itself.
The Xsnap 7 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 5G processor and comes with 12 GB of RAM. The smartphone features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which can be used to preview action camera footage up to 160 feet (49 m) away. The screen is protected from scratches by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
In addition to the detachable camera, Xsnap 7 Pro also features a 50-megapixel rear camera, a 64-megapixel night vision camera, and a 32-megapixel front camera.
Xsnap 7 Pro complies with IP68 and IP69K standards, making it moisture and dustproof. This smartphone runs Android 16. The company promises to provide operating system updates up to Android 20.
The Xsnap 7 Pro will be available in limited quantities via Kickstarter on September 7 for €799 (approximately $930), and will be released globally in October for $999.
