ASUS has expanded its line of gaming monitors based on the advanced Tandem QD-OLED matrix with the 27-inch ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDMSR model. According to the VideoCardz portal, the new product may be an updated version of the ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDMS model, which was released in March and currently sells for $649.

The new ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDMSR supports a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 320Hz. The typical brightness of a monitor display is 300 cd/m22 Peak – 1300 cd/m2. For comparison, the ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDMS released in March supports the same resolution, 280 Hz refresh rate, and a typical brightness of 250 cd/m22 Peak brightness in HDR mode is 1000 cd/m2.
In the description, ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDMSR emphasizes the use of Tandem QD-OLED matrix and special BlackShield coating. According to the company, it improves the display’s scratch resistance by 2.5 times and improves black perception levels by 40% compared to previous generation QD-OLED displays.
The actual screen size of the ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDMSR monitor is 26.5 inches. This monitor is VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black certified, has 99% DCI-P3 color space coverage, supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro synchronization technology, and is compatible with Nvidia G-Sync. This monitor uses a proximity sensor that automatically switches the display to black if the user moves away from the monitor. This reduces the risk of panel burn-in from displaying high-contrast static images for extended periods of time.
This monitor features DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC, HDMI 2.1, and USB Type-C with DisplayPort mode and 15W charging. This monitor supports image scaling to a 24.5-inch screen size, as well as an alternative resolution of 4:3 aspect ratio for competitive gaming.
ASUS has not yet announced the price of the ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDMSR monitor, nor has it announced when it will be available.
