The public presentation of GetDevelopment Studio’s domestic sci-fi shooter “Quantum Control” at the IGROPROM Festival in Moscow was accompanied by serious organizational and technical problems.
When the developers presented an early version of Unreal Engine 5, information emerged in the public domain about the suspension of the company’s bank account by the tax authorities due to a debt of approximately 3.7 million rubles. Representatives for the studio confirmed the restrictions and linked them to debtor delays in payments, promising to resolve the issue in the coming days.
The demo version of the project itself was roundly criticized by industry observers. The game construction suffers from primitive and broken artificial intelligence (enemies are shot through walls and tactics are ignored), bugs in audio effects and movement, and a severe reduction of stated quantum mechanics to simple object manipulation.
Despite financial difficulties, declining revenue, and a sluggish demo, the creators plan to release the free prologue on Steam and VK Play in 2026, with plans to fully launch the game on PvPvE services in 2029.
