Valve has released a massive 4.7 GB update for Counter-Strike 2. The patch adds new content and significantly changes some familiar game mechanics, including the ability to perform certain actions silently.
Reloading can now be made invisible to enemies by holding the reload key, although this animation takes longer. The sniper scope no longer makes the characteristic clicking sound when exiting. Additionally, we have updated the grenade purchase limit to allow the Zeus x27 stun gun to damage chickens.
The main innovation is the competitive Rush mode with 3 versus 3 teams. Players must move through a randomly changing arena, fighting for the central tower and reaching their opponent’s base. This mode now has a separate leaderboard among friends.
The changes also affect Premier: instead of the usual ban system, teams now take turns choosing four maps, with one of them randomly determined. The patch also updates Source 2 with improved blood and bullet scar effects, returns Steam Clan tabs, and adds the ability to put stickers on C4 bombs.
There’s also an interesting addition: eggs appear in weekly rewards. Additionally, the developers have fixed geometry issues on Mirage, Ancient, Train, and Cache, and redesigned aimer settings to make them independent of screen resolution.
