Microsoft announced a new wave of layoffs this week, affecting many employees at Halo Studios. In fact, the team was completely disbanded, leaving only a minimal number of experts to support published projects. In this wave of layoffs, Josh Daniels, the film director of “Halo: Evolved”, is one of the employees who has been fired.
Posted in LinkedIn The expert noted that he was one of 268 Xbox employees affected by layoffs. At the same time, he said that he received news of promotion and dismissal within a week:
Getting promoted and fired in the same week is pretty crazy. I’m one of the many people affected by layoffs at Halo Studios.
According to Josh, he is now looking for a position in the industry related to directing movie scenes and productions.
Let us remind you that the new part of the series will be developed by Activision, where a separate team will be formed to develop the series. Meanwhile, Halo Studios has only released Halo: Campaign Evolved throughout its existence. Halo Studios itself was formed from 343 Industries after the launch of Halo Infinite failed.
