The Golden Joystick Awards will return on November 11, 2026, celebrating its 44th edition with a new look. Organizers have unveiled the new look for the award, with nominations due to be announced on September 25, the same day public voting opens.
In total, players must vote on 21 categories. These include “PC Game of the Year”, “Console Game of the Year”, “Best Story”, “Best Indie Game”, “Best Visual Design”, “Best Music” and “Most Anticipated Game”. Voting for primary nominations closes on October 23.
The main award, Ultimate Game of the Year, will be voted on separately. It will be open from October 26 to 30, taking games released at the end of the year into consideration. The awards ceremony will be held on November 11 in London.
