The disc-to-digital feature has now been in testing with players at all internal levels for about a month. Microsoft is gradually refining it before releasing it into its final version, regularly adding small options to make it more convenient to use. One of these innovations is available on the Alpha Skip-Ahead subscription tier with the latest firmware update.
Xbox One and Xbox Series To do this you need:
- In Personalization, go to the “My Games & Apps” section.
- They’ve added a separate section (at the very end on the right) where you can go to a list of games the user no longer owns via Disc to Digital.
- This section will display a list of games that have lost access to their digital copies through disc-to-digital conversion. The date on which access rights were revoked is also indicated.
This option is useful for players selling discs. As you know, when the physical media enters the new user’s console, the digital license via Disc-to-Digital also transfers to him, that is, it is deleted from the previous owner’s account.
Currently, Microsoft has not specified when it will expand Disc to Digital to all players, but the feature itself already supports more than 1,500 projects.
