Bandai Namco announced that it will discontinue the current SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada online service. The game will be offline in May 2027 or later, and the developers do not plan to shut down the project completely. Instead, owners will prepare a separate standalone version, which will allow them to continue playing the game without connecting to a server.
The main changes will affect the concept of the game itself. SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada started out as a PvPvE action shooter where mech players faced off against each other in raids. After switching to offline, the project will become a PvE action shooter – some features tied to online will not be available.
In the meantime, game owners will be able to save some of their progress and eligible purchases. In December 2026, developers will add the ability to save data for later transfer to the offline version. The sale of paid currency SYN COINS will end on December 18, and the specific server closure date will be announced in March 2027.
