The issue of maintaining fresh content for Arc Raiders has become a severe test for Embark Studios. Executive producer Alexander Gröndal said the authors had no idea that audiences would take to all the activities and adventures so quickly.
Releasing updates as frequently as possible has led to a drop in quality, while the game has also faced issues with cheating and stream sniping.
As a relatively small team working on a live streaming service, the studio isn’t really able to compete with industry giants in terms of content volume, preferring to rely on proprietary quality.
However, the developers hope to keep players coming back in October by releasing a major update frozen trailwhich will bring new level designs, fresh arcs, improved storage, and new maps.
