Guerrilla Games may actually be bringing back former PlayStation shooter Killzone, according to a new report. The franchise has been put on hold in recent years.
Killzone was once one of the biggest and most important shooter series on Sony’s PlayStation, but the series has been largely dead for years now. According to a new report from normally well-informed colleagues, that may be the case. MP1 computer But that’s about to change now, because Killzone may actually be on the verge of a comeback.
It is understood that the new “Killzone” is currently being produced by Guerrilla Games’ third-party partners, but is still in the early stages of production. It has been reported that this could be a remake or remake of an earlier franchise offshoot, but official confirmation is of course still awaited.
According to the magazine’s sources, it’s unclear which parts of the early shooter will be given a modern look, but Part 1 of the series is the most likely. The game was released in 2004 for PlayStation 2.
The collaborative studio behind the project is said to be People Can Fly. The developer previously signed a deal with PlayStation for a game based on an existing IP codenamed Delta.
The most recent Killzone release was Shadow Fall, released on PlayStation 3 in 2013. The game received mostly positive reviews, and online servers remained online for many years before finally going offline in August 2022. Since then, there has been radio silence surrounding Killzone until now.
