Chuwi has launched the UniBox AI495 Pro mini desktop computer, designed to run powerful large-scale AI language models (LLM) natively. The new product is equipped with the powerful AMD Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495th generation Gorgon Halo processor and up to 192GB of unified memory, of which up to 160GB can be allocated to video memory.

UniBox AI495 Pro is based on the 16-core 32-thread Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 with Zen 5 architecture, with a maximum frequency of 5.2 GHz. It is supplemented by the powerful Radeon 8065S graphics processor, which has 40 computing units based on the RDNA 3.5 architecture and runs at up to 3 GHz. Chuwi said that the performance of the integrated graphics card is sufficient to meet AAA games with 1080p resolution and high frame rate.
However, the main focus of the new product is not the game, but the launch of LLM. Therefore, the most important feature of this mini PC is the unified LPDDR5X-8533 memory with a capacity of up to 192GB. It connects via a 256-bit bus and provides throughput of up to 273 GB/s. The large memory allows you to run large language models locally using your computer – Chuwi claims to support LLMs with up to 300 billion parameters and 4-bit quantization.
The platform’s AI capability is estimated at 131 TOPS, of which the XDNA 2 NPU accounts for a whopping 55 TOPS. This is sufficient for Microsoft Copilot+ PC requirements. At the same time, the UniBox AI495 Pro remains quite compact: the volume is about 2.9 liters and the dimensions are 209.6×209.6×67 mm.

This interface is also designed for professional use. The computer is equipped with two Ethernet ports with up to 10 Gbit/s, an OCuLink port for connecting external graphics cards, and two USB4 with data transfer speeds of up to 40 Gbit/s. Wireless connectivity is provided by Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Powered using an external 240 W adapter.
Along with the UniBox AI495 Pro, Chuwi is preparing a more affordable UniBox AI395 based on AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395. It also has 16 cores and 32 Zen 5 threads, but the maximum frequency is 5.1 GHz, and the Radeon 8060S graphics card runs at up to 2.9 GHz.
UniBox AI395 will offer up to 128GB of LPDDR5X-8000, of which up to 96GB can be allocated to meet the needs of the graphics accelerator. AI performance is said to be 126 TOPS, of which the NPU is as high as 50 TOPS. Locally, computers will be able to process models with up to 235 billion parameters using MoE and low-bit quantization.
Both new products feature three M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 slots for drives and SSDs, with capacities up to 2 TB each.
Chuwi has not revealed how much it will cost or when the UniBox AI495 Pro will go on sale.
