American publisher and developer Blizzard Entertainment announced and released the first additional content for the legendary fantasy strategy game “Warcraft 3” since 2003’s “The Frozen Throne” at the opening ceremony of BlizzCon 2026.

The expansion pack, titled “Forgotten Realms,” is intended for use in the 2020 release of Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and the remastered version of “The Frozen Throne – Warcraft III: Reforged.” Equivalent to $30 ($50 per game bundle).
As already mentioned, you don’t have to wait too long for the release – the Forgotten Realms add-on is already on sale. Announcements and premieres are accompanied by cinematic and Game play Trailer (see video below).
“The Forgotten Kingdom” will take players to the end of Lordaeron: the right to decide the fate falls on a Paladin who has been resurrected from the dead, and he once again becomes a servant of the Holy Light – the Forgotten Paladin (the first new hero in “Warcraft 3” in 20 years).
This expansion will let you look into the eyes of death again, meet new heroes of Azeroth, learn how the fabled Undercity was formed, test your strategic skills, and fight alongside legends from the past.
With the launch of the expansion pack, “Warcraft 3: Reforged” has also received a major 3.0 update, including a redesigned inventory, an improved map editor, improved performance and a final graphics mode.
In addition, Blizzard also announced that all “Warcraft 3: Reforged” users who like classic Warcraft 3 can use the original version of the client in the store. The feature has been in beta mode since last spring.
